Every playable track requires equivalent text access and verified timing, while the canonical reading edition remains available without sound.
Listening position and speed live in browser storage only. No account, listening profile, or server history is created.
A private notebook bookmark may retain a local audio position, but it never alters the chapter or becomes a public listening record.
Edition register
AP-W43 installs the audiobook companion machinery but does not claim that an audiobook edition, narrator, runtime, sample, retailer listing, or playable chapter exists. The current manifest publishes zero playable audio tracks until real assets and approvals are supplied and the release manifest is regenerated.

The release boundary
Audio activation requires a new release manifest and fresh candidate and production evidence. A prior deployment cannot inherit permission for a file it never contained.
